Optimal Simultaneous Interpolation/Extrapolation Algorithm of Electromagnetic Responses in Time and Frequency Domains

چکیده
In this paper, an optimal simultaneous interpolation and extrapolation algorithm in the time and frequency domains is carried out by adaptively choosing the order of the associate Hermite (AH) expansion. Due to the isomorphism of the AH function and its Fourier transform, the time-domain signal and its corresponding frequency-domain transform can be expanded as two isomorphic AH expansions, that can be used for simultaneous interpolation and extrapolation in the time and frequency domains from the partial sampled data of the two waveforms. By using an optimization algorithm, the origin of the expansion and the optimal scaling factor can be found. Hence, by using an adaptive procedure, the order of the expansion can be chosen that leads to accurate interpolation and extrapolation. Some numerical examples are presented to illustrate the efficiency of this method for the complex signal both with and without random noise. The proposed algorithm is also applied to analyze the timeand frequency-domain responses of the ground bounce and lead frame problems in electronic packaging in which the proposed algorithm remains stable when a large order of Hermite expansion is required.

Extrapolation of Electromagnetic Responses from Conducting Objects in Time and Frequency Domains
Utilizing early time response and low-frequency data, the complete electromagnetic response of a threedimensional conducting structure is generated. By using mutually complementary data, simultaneous extrapolation in time and frequency domains are carried out. This is performed through the use of the associated Hermite polynomials. The interesting property of the Hermite polynomials is that the...

To date, a number of numerical methods, including the popular Finite-Difference Time Domain (FDTD) technique, have been proposed to simulate Ground-Penetrating Radar (GPR) responses. Despite having a number of advantages, the finite-difference method also has pitfalls such as being very time consuming in simulating the most common case of media with high dielectric permittivity, causing the for...

The helicopter-borne electromagnetic (HEM) frequency-domain exploration method is an airborne electromagnetic (AEM) technique that is widely used for vast and rough areas for resistivity imaging. The vast amount of digitized data flowing from the HEM method requires an efficient and accurate inversion algorithm. Generally, the inverse modelling of HEM data in the first step requires a precise a...

The present paper is aimed at introducing a new algorithm for image encryption using chaotic tent maps and the desired key image. This algorithm consists of two parts, the first of which works in the frequency domain and the second, in the time domain. In the frequency domain, a desired key image is used, and a random number is generated, using the chaotic tent map, in order to change the phase...
متن کاملSimultaneous Extrapolation in Time and Frequency Domains Using Hermite Expansions
The time-domain response of a three-dimensional (3-D) conducting object is modeled as an associate hermite (AH) series expansion. Using the isomorphism of the AH function and its Fourier transform, the frequency-domain response can be expressed as a scaled version of the time-domain expansion. Using early-time and low-frequency data, we demonstrate simultaneous expansion in both domains. This a...
